Software Engineering Senior Advisor

Job Summary
The Software Engineering Senior Advisor is a senior-level role responsible for designing building and improving complex software and systems. This person leads teams supports large projects and helps make sure technology solutions are delivered on time and work this role you will write and review code guide team members and help improve systems over time. You will also work with vendors architects and other teams to solve problems and keep systems running smoothly. This role requires strong technical skills leadership and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Responsibilities
- Lead teams that design build test and support software applications
- Write review and improve code to ensure high quality and performance
- Partner with vendors to create project plans timelines and cost estimates
- Ensure technology solutions meet quality standards across multiple projects
- Provide technical leadership and support for large or complex programs
- Guide team direction and help improve systems including reducing technical debt
- Identify ways to improve processes and make systems more efficient
- Share knowledge and help train team members and vendor partners
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for key systems and tools
- Work with architects to plan future technology changes or upgrades
- Provide guidance on complex technical issues and solutions
- Help create standards best practices and tools for the team
- Lead efforts to resolve urgent production issues and outages
- Identify root causes of problems and drive solutions
- Support special projects as needed
Qualifications
- Must be a current contractor with Cigna Healthcare Evernorth Health Services or a related company
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelors degree in a related field preferred or similar work experience
- At least 5 years of relevant experience or 3 years with a Masters degree
- Strong understanding of software development and technical concepts
- Ability to solve complex problems with practical and effective solutions
- Strong customer service mindset and communication skills
- Ability to lead discussions with different levels of the organization
- Experience in healthcare or PBM industry preferred
- Experience working with vendors or external partners preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong mentoring and coaching skills
- Willingness to learn new tools and adapt to change
- Ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Flexible schedule as needed to support business needs
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.For this position we anticipate offering an annual salary of 130200 - 217000 USD / yearly depending on relevant factors including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
