We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer with a strong background in Platform Engineering to build and scale our modern this role you will bridge the gap between software development and operations designing secure automated pipelines and infrastructure for hybrid cloud environments. Responsibilities:

• Design implement and scale CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) across hybrid cloud GCP and on-prem environments.
• Design develop and maintain microservices and RESTful APIs that power platform capabilities and internal tooling.
• Automate deployments and manage container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes GKE) utilizing Helm charts.
• Drive platform resilience by improving monitoring logging and observability using tools like Splunk.
• Champion DevSecOps by embedding security and compliance controls directly into pipelines and infrastructure.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to troubleshoot and resolve complex platform and application issues.
• Collaborate closely with engineering operations and security teams to improve system reliability.

Qualifications:

• 6 years in DevOps SRE or Platform Engineering plus a Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related technical field. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
• In-depth knowledge of modern cloud architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP (preferred)) and IaC (Terraform).
• Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes GKE and managing deployments via Helm.
• Hands-on experience building pipelines with GitHub Actions.
• Hands-on experience building microservices and RESTful APIs (Python Java or similar).
• Proficient scripting skills (Bash PowerShell) for automation and operational tasks.
• Experience in setting up and managing monitoring and logging platforms like Splunk.
• Experience working in Financial Services HealthTech or other highly regulated industries requiring stringent compliance security and data privacy.
• Familiarity with tools like Azure DevOps Jira and ServiceNow.
• Familiarity with security scanning/SCA tools (Checkmarx Nexus IQ) and AI development assistants (GitHub Copilot Claude Code) is a plus.

Location:

This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office at the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale UT.
