Space and Air division in El Segundo CA is seeking a Software Engineer II Embedded / Radar to be part of their product development team for the Gen4 Tactical Airborne Radar group.

What you will do:

• Work on technical problems and provide innovative solutions with minimal guidance.
• Contribute at all phases of the SW development lifecycle including SW/HW integration
• Develop RT embedded SW specifically pertaining to various radar modes and capabilities.
• Utilize investigation and troubleshooting skills to assess issues and develop solutions.
• Work with teams across multiple disciplines internal and external
• Participate in program and customer meetings/reviews
• Support the team leads as needed regarding technical decision making problem resolution.
• Help to ensure performance to technical cost schedule quality.
• Support of system and software requirements and architecture generation and analysis as needed.
• Work Location: Onsite at our El Segundo CA Campus
• Must be able to obtain special access programs (SAP/SAR) for continuation of employment.
  

Qualifications you must have:

• Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.

• Development experience coding in C/C/ADA or related languages/tools.

• Experience working on UNIX Linux Windows VxWorks or other RTOS

• The ability to obtain and maintain an ***interim Secret U.S. security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. Citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Current DoD Secret and Top Secret Clearance

• Introductory Experience with design code integration and test of software into a large software baseline and large system

• Proven ability to obtain a Special Access Program (SAP) Clearances

• Experience developing Radar Software applications

• Experience working in an agile/scrum team hyper-collaborative team environment using typical agile oriented tool suite.

• Direct experience with Agile methodologies.

• Analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot tool and system operation performance issues.

• Experience with large complex systems such as airborne radars.

The salary range for this role is 75800 USD - 144200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
