Description

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is seeking a Director of Software Development to lead a key engineering organization supporting Oracle Health cloud services. This leader will be responsible for building and scaling teams focused on monitoring observability automation operational tooling and control plane technologies that enable secure scalable and highly reliable healthcare cloud services. Reporting to a Senior Director this role combines technical leadership organizational development and operational excellence to support one of Oracles most strategic growth areas.

This role offers the opportunity to build and grow a critical engineering organization while influencing how healthcare customers securely operate and scale their workloads on OCI.

  • Build and lead a software engineering team supporting Oracle Health cloud services
  • Hire develop and retain high-performing engineering talent

  • Drive development of monitoring automation observability and control plane services
  • Establish engineering processes operational standards and organizational best practices
  • Partner closely with OCI platform teams and Oracle Health stakeholders
  • Improve reliability scalability efficiency and operational maturity across services
  • Contribute to long-term technical strategy and roadmap planning
  • Lead organizational planning staffing and execution activities
  • Foster a culture of accountability innovation and operational excellence

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent practical experience
  • 12 years of software engineering experience
  • 5 years of engineering management experience including management of managers
  • Experience leading teams responsible for large-scale distributed cloud services
  • Demonstrated success building and scaling engineering organizations
  • Strong systems architecture and cloud infrastructure experience
  • Experience with monitoring observability automation infrastructure platforms or operational tooling
  • Proven leadership of complex technical programs and cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong communication and executive stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with OCI AWS Azure or Google Cloud preferred
  • Healthcare security compliance or highly regulated industry experience preferred

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $122500 to $291800 per annum. May be eligible for bonus equity and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge skills experience market conditions and locations as well as reflect Oracles differing products industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
