The Growth and Onboarding tech team builds the platform that powers personalized onboarding and development experiences for Amazonians worldwide. Our growth requires engineers who move fast have an entrepreneurial spirit to create new solutions have an unrelenting tenacity to get things done and are capable of breaking down and solving complex problems. As a Software Development Engineer (SDE) you will own the feature design development testing and deployment of components that directly shape how millions of employees discover upskilling opportunities professional development programs and career advancement pathways from Day 1.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity and able to design and build reliable scalable distributed systems from the ground up. They set a high bar across the full software development lifecycle design development documentation testing and operations and can partner effectively with other software developers Data Engineers Data Scientists and Learning Scientists to answer key questions about how people learn and grow at Amazon. Strong technical ability excellent project management and great communication skills round out the profile along with the ability to think and act both strategically and tactically.

- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 1 years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 1 years of designing and developing large-scale multi-tiered multi-threaded embedded or distributed software applications tools systems and services using: C# C Java or Perl experience
- 1 years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
