Software Dev Engineer II, Prime MG Tech Customer Experience Engineering

Ever wondered what powers the content experiences seen by hundreds of millions of Prime members across every Amazon marketplace on the planet Prime Customer Experience Engineering (CXE) provides the governance and technical backbone for the development lifecycle of every Prime experience spanning the CX layer and the wiring that connects it to the data sources behind it. We own the core framework for building and maintaining Prime CX widgets and the content experimentation systems for every Prime experience. Together these systems power Prime CXs across functions like acquisition onboarding engagement and retention across channels email notification text and WhatsApp ensuring Prime-owned CXs which drive roughly 70% of Prime member growth scale consistently and reliably.

Within CXE the CX Authoring team owns the content infrastructure layer the self-service platforms tools and frameworks that enable teams across Prime to create configure localize and deploy customer experiences at global scale without deep engineering expertise. Key job responsibilities
1. Build the GenAI-powered future of Prime experiences - design and develop Agentcore infrastructure multi-agent orchestration and autonomous experimentation capabilities.
2. Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive design and bring innovative products and services to market from natural language program configuration to AI-driven CX generation.
3. Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment including Agent-to-Agent (A2A) communication frameworks ML-powered recommendation engines and real-time event-driven orchestration systems.
4. Create solutions that run at incredible scale and speed our platform serves hundreds of millions of Prime customers across dozens of countries processing millions of state transitions daily.
5. Build distributed fault-tolerant systems that are scalable low cost and easy to manage from experience orchestration engines to incentive management platforms.
6. Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems youll own features end-to-end from architecture to production deployment.
7. Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software with development cycles measured in weeks not years.

- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 1 years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 1 years of designing and developing large-scale multi-tiered multi-threaded embedded or distributed software applications tools systems and services using: C# C Java or Perl experience
- 1 years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
