Were searching for a Social Work Manager someone who works well in a fast-paced this position youll ensure compliance and accountability for the clinical operational and human resources activities of the Social Work Department.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Encourages clinical quality and optimizes support of the psychosocial needs of the patient family within a family-centered care environment

Ensures the staffing needs of the department are adequately met and supports staff in the development of their schedules and monitors staffing needs within all service lines

Demonstrates effective communication skills inter-and intra-departmentally and works to eliminate communication barriers by serving as a liaison between physicians families nursing staff and ancillary departments

Develops and maintains relationships with outside community partners to ensure adequate resources for our patients and their families

Develops and mentors direct reports to continue to improve their skillset and their leadership abilities

Participates in the screening interviewing and decision-making process for hiring new employees

Ensures that JC requirements specific to the department are fulfilled but also understands the linkage between departments requirements and those of the integrated delivery system

As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace all successful candidates will be required to undergorespiratoryfit testing in compliance with occupational health and safety standards.


Skills & Requirements

Masters degree in social work required

LMSW Licensed Master Social Worker or LCSW Licensed Clinical Social Worker or LMSW-AP Licensed Master Social Worker Advanced Practice by Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council (TBHEC) required

3 years of operational experience in a hospital setting required
