Job Summary
Shop Foreman
2.0 Nature & Objective:
Maintain equipment for safe operation in accordance with applicable DOT rules and regulations.
Working environment in office and on shop floor.
Minimal travel as needed.
3.0 Reports to:
Regional Maintenance Supervisor- for maintenance
Terminal Manager - for daily operations
4.0 Position Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Maintenance and Repair.
- CDL/A preferred
- DOT Tanker maintenance experience preferred
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Good computer skills (Microsoft office)
- Strong analytical and problem- solving skills
5.0 Responsibilities include the following:
- Responsible for overall shop and terminal compliance of applicable State Local and Federal regulations.
- Responsible for condition of terminal rolling stock.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe clean and professional work environment.
- Supervise maintenance mechanics at multiple trucking terminals.
- Ensure proper PPE for maintenance personnel.
- Keep track of maintenance needs via computer systems.
