Job Summary:
As a Shipping Team Leader you will support the daily shipping operations of the facility while helping lead the team to meet goals for safety quality productivity accuracy and customer satisfaction. This hands-on role includes coordinating work assignments creating and verifying shipments managing inventory transactions supporting trailer movement training team members and helping ensure shipping processes are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Starting Pay:$17.50
- Guaranteed Progression: 50-cent per hour increases at 90 days 1 year and annually thereafter for a total of 5 years reaching the maximum rate at 5 years in this role.

Role overview & responsibilities
Reporting to the Supervisor or Manager the Shipping Team Leader is responsible for working with the facility management team to ensure that personnel assigned in their area of responsibility are meeting the performance goals of the Used Asset Center. These goals include safety quality productivity accuracy of work and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure that daily work assignments are clearly communicated and defined to the team in order meet the department goals. preventative maintenance on fleet trailers for an assigned geographical grouping of Service Centers covering multiple states.
- Lot and create containers of used asset returns based on asset category and disposition.
- Create shipments based on container categories and dispositions.
- Identify and correct discrepancies in lotted containers or created shipments prior to moving either to the next process step.
- Ensure that all inventory transactions are entered into and recorded in Control Tower.
- Ensure the timely movement of trailers into and out of dock doors.
- Assist in the preparation of necessary documentation paperwork and reports.
- Diligently observers safety practices of all employees contractors and visitors in their area of responsibility and corrects violations at first sight.
- Assist management in ensuring that PLA Policies and Procedures are being adhered to in the workplace.
- Trains new Material Handler I and II employees in their essential job duties and functions.
- Completes various special projects as assigned by the Site Manager.
- Assumes additional duties and responsibilities in the absence of the Site Supervisor or Manager.
- Other duties as assigned.
What youll need
- 6 months of experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
