Job Summary
The Server is responsible for providing exceptional dining experiences at a state-operated restaurant lodge or park facility. This position ensures timely courteous and professional service maintains cleanliness and adheres to food safety and Arkansas Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) regulations.
Primary Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly and provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu accurate food and beverage orders ensuring special dietary needs or allergies are food and beverages in a timely and professional in with guests regularly to ensure customer guest concerns or complaints professionally and informed about menu items ingredients and preparation proper alcohol service laws and guidelines in compliance with Arkansas ABC information about daily specials promotions and seasonal enter orders into the point-of-sale (POS) guest payments including cash credit and state-approved payment proper handling of state-issued meal vouchers or government Arkansas Department of Health food safety and sanitation cleanliness of tables service stations and dining with setting up and breaking down dining areas for events or large effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation.
Knowledge and Skills
Strong verbal communication skills and a friendly welcoming to handle difficult situations and resolve guest concerns in appearance attitude and to manage multiple tables and guest requests at sense of urgency and attention to management skills to provide quick and efficient to work cooperatively in a fast-paced to changing business needs and to calculate bills process payments and provide correct with or ability to learn point-of-sale (POS) systems.
