Position Description:
CGI Federal is seeking a Senior System Administrator to manage secure and maintain enterprise systems supporting federal operations. This role requires expertise in system configuration patching monitoring troubleshooting and lifecycle Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance are required.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Serve as the O&M Lead overseeing daytoday operations scheduled maintenance and lifecycle management activities across multiple enterprise environments.
Lead system maintenance and patching cycles ensuring systems remain secure compliant and fully operational.
Manage system configurations access controls and security settings to maintain system availability and operational integrity.
Provide technical leadership to junior administrators and operational support staff establishing best practices and ensuring repeatable compliant processes.
Monitor enterprise systems for performance capacity and availability; identify and resolve system issues through rootcause analysis.
Support modernization initiatives system upgrades and integration efforts with engineering cybersecurity and application teams.
Maintain detailed system documentation including configuration baselines maintenance procedures troubleshooting guides and O&M artifacts.
Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement system hardening vulnerability remediation and RMFaligned security controls.
Support incident response escalation handling and corrective action planning to ensure operational continuity.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Security certification (LCAT requirement).
Minimum 6 years administering large or complex enterprise systems (LCAT requirement).
Proven experience in maintenance patching and O&M leadership roles for enterprise systems.
Strong understanding of system monitoring troubleshooting performance tuning and operational best practices.
Experience with system hardening access management and compliance-driven environments.
Experience leading O&M teams or serving as a technical lead.
Familiarity with NIST FISMA and vulnerability management processes.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
