Senior Specialist Software Engineer

As a Sr. Specialist Software Engineer reporting to the VP - Software Engineering youll play a critical role in developing and maintaining the technology that powers Nasdaqs Derivatives Market System. Youll work on real-time mission-critical platforms that demand high throughput minimal latency and exceptional reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• With the use of agentic AI design develop and maintain automated test suites for real-time trading systems that support mission-critical business operations.
• Review system requirements and translate them into test plan and test script for automated test generation.
• Code test debug and implement software across the full development lifecycle.
• Mentor team members and champion continuous improvement in end-to-end system testing..
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure thorough system functionality testing.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or equivalent practical experience.
• 6-8 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java programming and object-oriented design principles.
• Proven ability to work independently solve complex problems and deliver high-quality code.
• Clear communicator with experience working in collaborative fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree or specialization in financial markets finance or mathematics.
• Experience with high-performance low-latency mission-critical systems.
• Familiarity with AI/ML technologies.

This position willbe located in Philadelphia andoffers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office subject to change providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
