Job Summary
Senior Protocol Engineer
Role summary
Owns significant workstreams within the smart-contract release train (TD Coin Settlement Orchestrator Fiat Relay Fusion Root Orchestrator Factory) and contributes to maintaining the Fusion-specific upstream diff against Optimism guiding Protocol Engineers through implementation.
Key responsibilities
- Design and build components within the smart-contract release train.
- Contribute to maintaining and testing the Fusion-specific upstream diff against Optimism.
- Guide Protocol Engineers through implementation and review their work.
- Carry the on-call escalation rotation and join incident bridges for protocol-behavior issues.
- Support external audit preparation and remediation for assigned components.
Qualifications :
Required experience & qualifications
- 5 years in blockchain/DLT smart-contract engineering or backend distributed systems.
- Strong Solidity/EVM (or equivalent) and integration skills.
- Experience with rollup/upstream-diff maintenance (Optimism stack or comparable) an advantage.
- Comfort carrying production on-call responsibility.
Success measures
- On-spec on-time delivery within the release train.
- Post-release defect and rework rate.
- On-call response within target.
