Position Summary

This position willdesign and develop tooling that leveragesWebAssmply(Wasm) implementations withinF5 data planes.A successful candidatevalues developer and customer experience and can connect that to technical decisions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design andimplementnewdeveloper tooling from concept to production

  • Aid product development teams developing features using this tooling to improve the implementation

  • Profile andoptimizeperformance

  • Help set expectations with software architecture and hardware stakeholders

  • Work with geographically distributed compilerarchitectureand application teams to oversee improvements and problem resolutions

Qualifications

  • 6-8 years of prior software development work experience or related.

  • Experience withWebAssemblyhighly desirable

  • Severalyears of experience developingfor proxy/load balancing/networking use casesin a significant commercial or open-source context

  • Background shipping in several paradigms such as SaaS deployed software customer deployed infrastructure etc.

  • Proficiencyin a variety of development styles and languages both static and dynamic

  • Strong designand analytical skillsin tooling and developer experience

  • Excellent leadership and collaboration skills

  • Strong background in software engineering principles with a focus on crafting robust and maintainable solutions to challenging problems

  • Good communicationand documentation skills
