Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid minimum every other week Tuesday through Thursday on-site; some periods may require on-site each week Tuesday through Thursday; Mondays and Fridays are almost always remote

Job Summary

The Senior Program Manager completes moderate to complex problems and takes a new perspective on existing solutions plan and goals. This individual works independently on most issues provides direction on overall program plan and goals and is responsible for most or all deliverables within the program implementation plan. The role requires communicating findings and recommendations to various levels of management developing budget forecasts conducting analysis in support of identifying budget variances and developing solutions to address those variances. The Senior Program Manager also develops new and ad-hoc reports summarizes findings and recommendations and provides business insight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Completes moderate to complex problems and takes a new perspective on existing solutions plan and goals
  • Works independently on most issues

  • Responsible for most/all deliverables within the program implementation plan
  • Communicates findings and recommendations to various levels of management
  • Develops budget forecasts conducts analysis in support of identifying budget variances and develops solutions to address
  • Develops new and ad-hoc reports summarizes findings and recommendations and provides business insight
Required Skills
  • KPI Metrics and Dashboard Development experience building KPIs dashboards and reporting rhythms
  • Executive Communication and Storytelling ability to produce executive-ready status communications
  • Program Governance and PMO Operations experience building program governance structures and reporting rhythms
  • Process Improvement and Problem Solving ability to turn complex program data into meaningful insights metrics readiness indicators and improvement actions
  • Stakeholder Management and Cross-Functional Leadership proven success driving alignment accountability and results across multiple teams and stakeholders
  • Advanced knowledge of Program Management
  • Ability to communicate findings and recommendations to various levels of management
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects with demanding time constraints
  • Knowledge and understanding of business drivers
  • Demonstrated ability to manage or direct teams
  • Ability to work within a Regulatory environment
  • Ability to assess and recommend solutions for assigned projects
  • Knowledge of energy industry applications to local level customers including energy issues customer energy efficiency applications and general customer information
Education Requirements
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Required Experience
  • 6 years of related experience or equivalent
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
  • Primarily office environment with extensive use of personal computers telephone conversations conference calls and in-person meetings
  • Travel may be required
  • Personal phone required (no reimbursement provided)
  • Mileage reimbursement approved if candidate is asked to travel to any location other than the Oakland office; normal commute to Oakland office not included
  • A client-provided laptop will be issued; personal or supplier laptops cannot be used; any additional equipment needed will be provided by the supplier
