Senior Process Engineer

Job Summary
Develop the documented design basis process descriptions BFDs PFDs P&IDs and material selection diagrams that define each project.
Build process simulation models in Aspen HYSYS and develop heat and material balances.
Perform hydraulic calculations and produce equipment sizing data sheets for compressors pumps heat exchangers columns separators reactors and more.
Design and size safety relief devices that protect personnel equipment and the process.
Interface directly with clients and provide field support throughout project execution.
Deliver work that meets quality standards and applicable codes on schedule and within budgeted hours.
Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from anABET-accreditedprogram.
10 years of experience in the oil & gas or chemical industries.
Hands-on experience designing process equipment (vessels pumps exchangers fired heaters compressors).
Process simulation experience with Aspen HYSYS and hydraulic analysis tools (e.g. AFT Fathom/Arrow Visual Flare).
Strong Microsoft Office skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to work in teams and present a positive image to clients.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality andtimelydelivery.
EIT certification.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
Periodic travel for client and project site visits asrequired.
Workperformedin a combination of office and active project-site environments; field assignments may involve walking stooping kneeling and climbing stairs and ladders.
PPE (hard hat safety glasses hi-vis vest steel-toed boots) provided andrequiredon site.
The posted base salary range is a good-faith estimate of what Nexus Engineering Group expects to pay for this role at the time of posting. Compensation for all candidates isdeterminedbased on experience qualifications skill set certifications work location and market conditions.
In addition to base pay this position is eligible for medical dental and vision coverage; a 401(k) with company match; paid time off with starting accrual based on relevant experience plus 11 paid holidays; life and disability insurance; discretionary bonuses; and participation in our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) providing employees the opportunity to share in the long-term success of the company.
