Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior MongoDB Systems Engineer to lead a large-scale MongoDB migration initiative across AWS environments for a major healthcare enterprise. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in MongoDB architecture database migrations performance tuning replication management and data integrity validation. Experience working with healthcare data and de-identification solutions is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and execution of enterprise-scale MongoDB migrations across AWS environments.
Develop migration rollback and cutover strategies to minimize downtime and business impact.
Configure optimize and maintain MongoDB replica sets and self-managed clusters.
Analyze and improve database performance through query tuning indexing strategies and latency reduction.
Ensure data integrity validation backup reliability and recovery readiness throughout migration activities.
Perform replication monitoring failure analysis troubleshooting and high-availability planning.
Collaborate with data engineering teams to integrate de-identification platforms for secure healthcare data processing.
Provide architectural guidance and MongoDB best practices to engineering and operations teams.
Support capacity planning scalability initiatives and long-term database growth strategies.
Document migration processes operational procedures and technical recommendations

Required Skills & Qualifications Experience

10 years of Systems Engineering experience.
Extensive hands-on experience with MongoDB administration and engineering.
Proven experience managing self-hosted MongoDB clusters in enterprise environments.
Strong background in large-scale cloud database migration projects.
Experience supporting mission-critical production environments
