Senior IBM Master Data Management (MDM) & Integration Developer

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Senior IBM Master Data Management (MDM) & Integration Developer on behalf of our client in Lansing MI. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with deep expertise in IBM InfoSphere MDM enterprise application integration Java development and Apache Kafka. You will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing mission-critical Master Data Management (MDM) solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability data integrity and operational excellence.

• Maintain support and enhance enterprise IBM Master Data Management (MDM) applications.

• Analyze business requirements and develop functional and technical design documentation.

• Configure customize troubleshoot and support IBM InfoSphere MDM Standard Edition (Virtual MDM) applications.

• Design develop and maintain Java/J2EE applications RESTful and SOAP web services and integration components.

• Develop and support Apache Kafka producers consumers and messaging integrations.

• Create PowerShell and Bash scripts to automate operational processes.

• Develop optimize and maintain SQL scripts in Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server environments.

• Collaborate with database infrastructure networking and server teams to resolve production issues.

• Deploy and support enterprise applications on WildFly OpenShift and cloud platforms.

• Configure and manage certificates across Windows and Linux environments.

• Monitor production and non-production environments while generating operational reports.

• Participate throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including requirements gathering design development testing deployment and production support.

• Develop and execute test plans support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and manage defect resolution.

• Support application upgrades change management activities documentation and ongoing production monitoring.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline implementation and continuous delivery processes.

• 8 years of enterprise software development experience.

• Strong hands-on experience with IBM InfoSphere MDM Standard Edition (v14.x/Virtual MDM).

• Extensive experience with:

  • MDM Data Models

  • Entity Management

  • Transactions

  • Batch Processing

  • Configuration and Customization

  • Performance Tuning and Troubleshooting

• Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka.

• 8 years of Java/J2EE development experience including Java JSP REST APIs and SOAP web services.

• Strong production support and application troubleshooting experience.

• Experience working in Linux/Unix environments.

• Solid SQL development skills with Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.

• Experience using Git/GitHub for version control.

• Excellent analytical communication and problem-solving skills.

• Strong understanding of IBM MDM architecture and enterprise Master Data Management concepts.

• Experience administering and deploying applications on WildFly.

• Experience with Kafka administration including:

  • Topic management

  • Producer and Consumer development

  • Message troubleshooting

  • ZooKeeper and Kafka KRaft

  • Strimzi Operator

• Experience integrating Kafka with IBM MDM applications.

• Linux Bash scripting and CRON job management.

• Experience with Flowable BPM.

• CI/CD implementation using Azure DevOps and Azure Git Repos.

• Experience with OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) Kubernetes and containerized deployments.

• Cloud experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.

• Experience using ELK/Elastic Stack for monitoring and log analysis.

• Ability to independently support complex mission-critical production applications.

• Work on enterprise-scale Master Data Management initiatives.

• Collaborate with experienced technology professionals in a dynamic environment.
