STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Senior Full Stack Cloud Engineer on behalf of our client in Chicago IL to support the development and scaling of an enterprise Insurance Accounting System. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned engineer with deep expertise in cloud-native technologies distributed systems and full-stack application development.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in AWS cloud architecture serverless computing ETL/data pipelines and relational databases. You will work in a lean highly collaborative environment partnering closely with Product Operations and cross-functional teams to design build and scale mission-critical solutions.

• Own the full application lifecycle including development deployment and infrastructure management
• Design develop and scale cloud-native applications supporting insurance and accounting workflows
• Build and maintain backend services APIs and infrastructure using modern engineering practices
• Develop and optimize relational database solutions and ETL/data processing pipelines
• Participate in system architecture technical design discussions and product planning efforts
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support enterprise integrations and operational efficiency
• Manage infrastructure and deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices to improve reliability and scalability
• Work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing priorities and deliverables effectively

• 10 years of experience building and supporting distributed systems and cloud-based applications
• Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript (5 years preferred)
• Experience with Python and modern backend development practices
• Deep expertise in AWS cloud architecture and serverless technologies
• Strong understanding of relational databases (SQL) and data modeling
• Experience building and managing ETL/data pipelines
• Hands-on experience with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
• Experience working within CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows
• Experience integrating on-premise and cloud-based systems
• Prior experience in large enterprise environments

• Experience working on financial accounting or insurance platforms
• Familiarity with data visualization applications/platforms
• Experience working with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouse technologies

• Strong problem-solving and systems design mindset
• Comfortable working independently within lean engineering teams
• Able to balance technical execution with business priorities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
