Senior Financial Analyst, Amazon Business, NA CPS

Amazon Business (AB) seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to support Large Customers across its NA Commercial Public and Strategic (CPS) business segment. This role will partner with business teams to drive profitable growth through financial analysis business insights and data-driven decision-making across customer segments and verticals.

The successful candidate will support business partners with financial modeling growth initiative analysis large customer deal assessments and performance tracking. The role requires developing a deep understanding of business drivers and translating them into actionable financial insights. This includes building ROI analyses for customer deals evaluating the financial impact of growth programs and tracking results against goals. The role will contribute to the development of new metrics reporting and scalable analytical frameworks that enable the business to measure progress and identify opportunities. Invent & Simplify leveraging AI tools to automate scale processes and accelerate insights will be an important part of this role.

This role requires a high degree of learn and be curious to understand the needs of our customers and bias for action to navigate in a fast-paced ambiguous customer-facing environment. The candidate must be able to clearly communicate financial findings and recommendations to support decision-making across teams.


Key job responsibilities
- Partner with CPS business teams as a finance resource providing analytical support to drive profitable topline growth across customer segments
- Support growth initiatives by building financial models that quantify opportunity size investment requirements and expected returns for new programs and sales motions
- Conduct financial analysis of large customer initiatives including deal structuring pricing scenarios and ROI evaluation of managed spend opportunities
- Continuous improvement to our scalable deal evaluation process. Perform deal analysis including building bespoke customer deal models tracking post-launch actuals versus projections and identifying patterns to improve deal economics
- Support Financial Planning and Analysis cycle including topline and P&L planning guidance revisions monthly financial reviews and variance analysis
- Build and automate reporting and metrics that enable business teams to track performance against goals and surface actionable insights. Use AI to automate and streamline processes.
- Engage with cross-functional partners across CPS Sales FP&A Go-To-Market Operations and Managed Spend teams to develop insights and support initiatives
- Communicate financial analysis and recommendations through effective verbal and written communication leveraging tools including Excel SQL and business intelligence platforms

- 3 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
- Bachelors degree in finance accounting or related field
- 3 years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
- 3 years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience

- 4 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA or CPA
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
