Senior Engineer

The Senior Application Developer is responsible for architecting building and maintaining cloud-native applications and AI-powered solutions using C# platform and Microsoft Azure. This role blends advanced enterprise application development with the design and implementation of AI features and autonomous AI agents that enhance and automate business workflows. The role carries technical leadership expectations setting standards mentoring developers and driving architectural decisions.

The Senior Developer is expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy exercise sound technical judgment lead by example and guide team members to effectively accomplish project objectives.

• Architect and develop robust scalable production-grade applications inC# / .NET CoreNET Core and modern application frameworks.
• Lead the design integration and deployment ofAI-powered features and AI agentsthat automate tasks reason over enterprise data and augment user workflows.
• Design and orchestrate AI solutions using services such asAzure OpenAIAzure AI Services and agent frameworks ( KernelMicrosoft Agent Framework / AutoGen or theOpenAI/Anthropic SDKs).
• Implementretrieval-augmented generation (RAG) advanced prompt engineering tool/function calling and vector-based search to ground AI on enterprise content.
• Establish engineering standards conduct code reviews and mentor junior and mid-level developers.
• Partner with stakeholders and architects to translate business requirements into technical designs and delivery roadmaps.
• Integrate AI capabilities responsibly incorporating security privacy evaluation and governance considerations throughout.

Compensation: -The anticipated base salary range offered for this role will be between $140000 to $175000 and represents the firms good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation. Actual base compensation will be dependent upon several factors including but not limited to the candidates relevant experience performance qualifications degrees and location well as the needs of the firm.

• Deep demonstrable expertise developing production applications inC# / .NET CoreandNET Core.
• Proven experience building or integratingAI/LLM-based solutions including prompt engineering function/tool calling RAG patterns and working with model APIs (Azure OpenAI OpenAI or similar).
• Hands-on experience withAI agent development designing agents that plan call tools maintain context and execute multi-step tasks (e.g. via Semantic Kernel Microsoft Agent Framework AutoGen or LangChain-style orchestration).
• Strong experience with application development forAzure including App Services Azure Functions Logic Apps Key Vaults Storage Accounts and Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Strong experience withAzure SQL and T-SQL including designing SQL database objects stored procedures user-defined functions and integrated security; familiarity with vector data stores (e.g. Azure AI Search Cosmos DB) is a plus.
• Solid command ofDevOps and CI/CD pipelinesand version control systems such asGit including branching strategies and release management.
• Proficiency developing inVisual Studio(and/or VS Code).
• Mastery of all phases of thesoftware development life cycle (SDLC) architecture design implementation testing deployment and documentation and the ability to embed security considerations into every phase.
• Strong experience withWeb Services RESTful APIs and SOAP APIsto integrate applications with vendor and enterprise systems.
• Demonstrated technical leadership mentoring developers owning architectural decisions and driving best practices across a team.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and an aptitude for rapidly learning and evaluating emerging technologies especially in the fast-moving AI space.
• Effective interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences and close attention to detail.

Preferred

• Experience delivering AI/agentic solutions for real business processes (document analysis summarization intelligent automation copilots) at production scale.
• Experience working with legal financial and HR systems applications and databases.
• Experience with client-side technologies such as HTML5 JavaScript and CSS.
• Experience with client-side development using JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks such as React plus HTML5 and CSS.
• Experience with legal desktop applications includingdocument management systems legal workflows onboarding workflows.
• Working knowledge ofResponsible AIpractices evaluation guardrails content safety and cost/performance optimization of AI workloads.

Experience / Education

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum of four yearsof professional software development experience including hands-on delivery with C#/.NET; demonstrated experience building AI/LLM-based solutions strongly preferred.
