The successful candidate will lead small electrical design teams provide mentorship to junior staff manage scope schedule and budget performance and collaborate with clients utilities contractors vendors and multidisciplinary project teams. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of project delivery while contributing to the continued growth of the electrical practice.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as Lead Electrical Engineer and Engineer of Record on projects.
- Lead and mentor a team of 1-3 electrical engineers and designers.
- Manage project scope schedule budget and technical quality.
- Provide regular project status updates to team leadership.
- Coordinate with clients electric utilities contractors construction managers vendors manufacturers and regulatory agencies.
- Lead the development of technical reports construction documents specifications cost estimates and permit applications.
- Conduct and support site visits field investigations and construction-phase services.
- Coordinate electrical designs with instrumentation and controls civil process mechanical HVAC architectural structural plumbing and fire protection disciplines.
- Support proposal development and cultivate strong client relationships.
- Collaborate effectively with geographically dispersed team members using virtual communication and collaboration tools.
- Promote quality consistency and continuous improvement across project deliverables.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 8 years of electrical consulting or related engineering experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Ability and willingness to obtain additional state PE licenses as needed.
- Demonstrated experience leading projects and managing technical teams.
- Strong client-facing consulting communication and leadership skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and PDF markup/editing software.
- Experience with AGi32 SKM Power Tools or equivalent software preferred.
