Senior Design Engineer - Zeeland MI

DISHER is partnering with a global leader in high-quality door and insulated glass solutions to find a Senior Design Engineer to join their team in Zeeland MI. What youll get to do:

Own SolidWorks CAD data and drawings for door and glass products
Support new product development from initial concept through production launch
Collaborate with product engineers manufacturing teams and program managers
Apply engineering fundamentals to optimize designs for manufacturing
Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs)
Identify cost reduction and product improvement opportunities

What will make you successful:

BS in Mechanical Engineering product design or related field preferred
10-15 years in design with variety of products
Strong SolidWorks proficiency
Experience in new product development (NPD)-not just simulation or tool & die work
Knowledge of manufacturing processes: extrusions injection molding stamping
Strong grasp of physics and engineering fundamentals
Ability to communicate across teams and translate technical concepts
Must have a positive attitude - bring energy and enthusiasm to the team every day
Must be a team player - willing to collaborate support colleagues and share knowledge
