Senior Data Integration Developer

Location: Houston (Hybrid at least 3 days onsite/week)

We are looking  for a Senior Data Integration Developer to support a business-critical Energy Trading and Risk Management environment for one of our key energy clients

The role sits within a small technical team supporting FIS Aligne a legacy on-premise ETRM platform and its broader data ecosystem. The successful candidate will take significant ownership of the platforms integrations data pipelines databases and downstream applications.

The environment supports approximately 300 data pipelines 150 reports and dashboards 46 custom applications and 250 business users across Front Office Middle Office Market Risk Settlements and other operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design develop maintain and troubleshoot ETL and data integration pipelines.
• Build and support SSIS / SQL Server Integration Services solutions in an on-premise Microsoft environment.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries stored procedures views and database processes.
• Support data ingestion from market pricing weather broker ISO trade and transactional data sources.
• Maintain downstream data warehouses supporting historical reporting KPIs dashboards and analytics.
• Investigate production issues failed data pipelines and data discrepancies.
• Support integrations between FIS Aligne and upstream/downstream systems.
• Work directly with business users across trading risk settlements and operations.
• Contribute to Python-based data processing automation and integration solutions.
• Take ownership of critical systems while the organization continues its migration toward its future trading platform.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor degree in Computer science Engineering Finance or Quantitative finance
• 5 years of relevant development/data integration experience ideally in a senior capacity.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server SQL SSIS ETL and data integration.
• Strong experience working with on-premise Microsoft technologies.
• Experience with data warehousing data ingestion database development and production support.
• Python development experience.
• Strong troubleshooting analytical and database skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership within a small technical team.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact directly with business stakeholders.

Nice to have 

• Experience within energy trading commodities or ETRM environments.
• Understanding of concepts such as P&L positions trade types market data pricing data and front-to-back trading workflows.
• Experience with FIS Aligne is highly desirable but not required.
• Experience with other ETRM platforms such as Openlink / Endur is also relevant.
• DBA / database administration experience is a strong plus.
