Our Toronto-based team is looking for a Business Development Manager!Werepassionate about building world-class products and services and are driven to bring creative ideas to life.

In this roleyoullreport to theHeadofBusiness Development and work closely withcross-functional teamsto develop and execute long-term strategies that align with our mission for a sustainable future.Youllrepresent ecobee withexternal organizations at an executive leveland collaborate with internal leadership to deliver innovative and delightful customer experiences.

You should have experience in business developmentmanaging complex negotiations and driving joint value for both partners and customers.Youllalso work closely with Product Marketing and Finance teams to ensure partnerships support company goals.

This role is open to being 100% remote within the US although our home office is in Toronto Ontario. You maybe requiredto travel to TorontoCanada once per quarter for team and/or company events.

For Toronto/GTA Candidates only This role follows a hybrid schedule with in-office work required on Wednesdays and Thursdays to support collaboration and flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the week.

HowYoullMake an Impact:

  • Develop andexecute the strategic business development plan for ecobee Energy Services collaborating with key stakeholders.

  • Draft negotiate andfinalizedeal terms with partners working closely with Finance and Legal and securing executive approval.

  • Coordinate with product teams to define prioritize and manage partner integration requirements ensuring timelines aremetand partners have necessary resources.

  • Collaborate with the Energy Services sales team on revenue strategyestablishingkey performance indicators (KPIs)to measure success.

WhatYoullBring to the Table:

  • 7-12 years of experience in business development corporate strategy or strategy consulting (MBA preferred).

  • Experience inindustries includingconsumer electronics SaaS or connected devices.

  • Proventrack recordof building and delivering ROI-driven business opportunities.

  • Expertisein business development strategy grounded in customer and market insights (market opportunity identification strategic positioning playbooks).

  • A builders mindset with proventrack recordof developing new business models securingfundingand closing complex negotiations

  • Exceptional communicationand consensus-building skills with experience working withC-suite stakeholders.

This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates relevant work experience skills certifications and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including short-term and long-term incentives.

This position includes a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical dental and vision plans; life long-term disability flexible spending and health savings accounts accrued paid time off paid Holidays (10 for Ontario 11 for British Columbia) and RRSP retirement benefits

This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates relevant work experience skills certifications and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including short term and long-term incentives.

This position includes a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical dental and vision plans; life long-term disability flexible spending and health savings accounts accrued paid time off 8 paid Holidays and 401(k) retirement benefits.
