Job Summary
STV is expanding its Transportation practice in Texas and is seeking an accomplished structures engineering leader to help grow and strengthen our bridge and structural engineering presence in the Dallas district. This is a premier leadership opportunity for a senior professional who combines technical excellence strong client relationships and a passion for building high-performing this role you will help shape strategy drive business growth lead major pursuits and projects and elevate STVs structural capabilities across Dallas-Fort Worth and the broader Texas market.
The ideal candidate is a respected bridge and structural engineering leader with a strong record of delivering complex transportation projects developing trusted client relationships and mentoring high-performing teams. They bring the strategic mindset to grow a practice the technical credibility to lead major programs and the business acumen to help position STV for continued success with TxDOT local municipalities and other transportation partners across Texas.
What Youll Do:
- Provide senior technical leadership for STVs bridge and structural engineering work across North Texas guiding design approach technical standards quality and delivery for complex transportation structures while supporting the continued growth of the districts capabilities.
- Serve as a senior leader on major bridge and transportation pursuits and projects providing executive oversight as a Project Manager Design Manager or technical leader.
- Drive project performance by monitoring scope schedule budget and financial outcomes while positioning teams for successful execution and client satisfaction.
- Champion quality safety and technical excellence across bridge and structural projects ensuring compliance with STV standards and client expectations.
- Partner with owners design teams contractors and internal stakeholders to guide project decision-making and strengthen collaboration from pursuit through delivery.
- Collaborate with regional and district leadership to expand STVs bridge and structural footprint across Texas with a focus on the Dallas-Fort Worth market and surrounding growth areas.
- Build and strengthen relationships with TxDOT local municipalities transit agencies and other key transportation partners to identify opportunities and support long-term growth.
- Lead major pursuits and help shape winning proposals by contributing to technical strategy staffing plans schedules budgets and client-facing presentations.
- Stay current on bridge and structural engineering trends emerging technologies and evolving TxDOT priorities to help keep STV at the forefront of the market.
- Foster a culture of innovation accountability collaboration and professional growth within the Texas structures team.
What You Bring:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline required; Masters degree with a structural emphasis preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Texas PE strongly preferred.
- 15 years of progressive experience in bridge and structural engineering including leadership of complex transportation programs and major project delivery.
- Strong knowledge of TxDOT standards processes and delivery expectations with experience supporting transportation programs in Texas preferred.
- Demonstrated success leading and delivering complex bridge and structural projects in competitive transportation markets.
- Proven leadership ability with experience building mentoring and inspiring high-performing technical teams.
- Executive-level communication and relationship-building skills with the credibility to engage clients partners and internal stakeholders with confidence.
- Strong business development and pursuit leadership experience including strategy development proposal oversight and client engagement.
- Strong command of project delivery fundamentals including scope development staffing scheduling budgeting and client management.
- Established or highly transferable client relationships in Texas with a track record of helping grow market presence and win new work.
- Willingness to travel as needed to project sites and client meetings.
Compensation Range:
