Senior Backend Engineer

12-month contract

Location: Bay Area onsite hybrid (must be local)

Project: Backend platform engineering on a high-volume transactional system. Correctness- and idempotency-sensitive work.

Must-have (4):

7 years Java backend production scale

Kafka Flink in production

Card payments / card processing experience - auth clearing settlement lifecycle and reconciliation

GraphQL AWS (ECS/EKS SQS/SNS S3 RDS/DynamoDB)

Nice to have:

Micronaut framework

Fragment / Modern Treasury / double-entry ledger experience

Python for tooling
