Location: This is an on-site role based in Ramsey NJ. While the position is fully in-office our team supports work-life balance with no mandatory Saturdays and a 4-day workweek from April 16 through December 31 each year.

Note: Candidates must have 4 years of experience at a public accounting firm and a bachelors degree in accounting. CPA EA or a Masters in Tax is a strong plus.

Job Description

• Prepare individual partnership corporate and fiduciary tax returns
• Manage and assist with audit review and compilation engagements
• Handle interim and year-end closings along with other accounting projects
• Oversee monthly quarterly and annual bookkeeping engagements
• Work directly with clients and provide proactive trusted service
• Manage client accounts independently while collaborating with firm leadership and team members
• Support a wide variety of tax accounting and advisory projects across different industries
• Identify opportunities to improve client service strengthen relationships and contribute to firm growth

Qualifications

• 4 years of public accounting experience at a CPA firm
• Bachelors degree in Accounting required
• CPA EA or Masters in Tax preferred
• Experience with CCH Axcess QuickBooks and Caseware preferred
• Strong tax preparation accounting and client communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple client matters with accuracy and professionalism
• Self-motivated dependable and comfortable working independently in a client-facing role
