AeroFarms is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Danville Virginia. This role will support core accounting operations and play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls. Position will report to our Accounting Director.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the accounts receivable process including invoicing collections tracking and reconciliation of customer accounts
- Prepare and review cash reconciliations and ensure accurate recording of daily cash activity
- Own Inventory accounting including posting of inventory consumption to production and ending inventory balances each period.
- Support the monthly quarterly and annual close process including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts related to revenue receivables and cash
- Assist with revenue recognition and related accounting analysis
- Partner with operations and sales teams to resolve billing and collection issues
- Support internal and external audit processes by preparing supporting schedules and documentation
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes controls and efficiency
- Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed
Qualifications
- CPA required
- 5 years of accounting experience (public accounting or corporate accounting)
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Experience in manufacturing agriculture food production or high-growth companies a plus
- Experience with accounts receivable cash reconciliations and month-end close
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics a plus
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
