Security Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Security Engineer to join our IT and cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing implementing monitoring and maintaining enterprise security infrastructure to protect systems networks applications and data from cyber threats and vulnerabilities.

The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in security operations threat monitoring incident response vulnerability management and infrastructure security across cloud and on-prem environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design implement and maintain enterprise security solutions and controls
  
• Monitor security systems alerts logs and incidents using SIEM and security tools
  
• Conduct vulnerability assessments risk analysis and remediation activities
  
• Manage firewall configurations IDS/IPS VPNs endpoint security and access controls
  
• Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents and security breaches
  
• Implement security policies standards and compliance best practices
  
• Secure cloud infrastructure environments such as AWS Azure or GCP
  
• Perform security audits patch management and system hardening activities
  
• Collaborate with infrastructure network and application teams to improve security posture
  
• Maintain documentation related to security architecture incidents and procedures
  
• Stay updated with emerging cybersecurity threats vulnerabilities and technologies
  

• 5 years of experience in Cybersecurity / Security Engineering
  
• Strong knowledge of network security system security and cloud security
  
• Hands-on experience with SIEM tools firewalls IDS/IPS VPNs and endpoint protection
  
• Experience with vulnerability management and security assessment tools
  
• Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards
  
• Experience securing Windows/Linux environments and cloud platforms
  
• Familiarity with identity and access management concepts
  
• Understanding of incident response and threat detection methodologies
  
• Scripting or automation experience using PowerShell Python or Bash is a plus
  
• Strong troubleshooting analytical and communication skills
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Cybersecurity Information Technology or related field
  
• Certifications such as CISSP CEH Security CCSP or equivalent are preferred
