Security Analyst Internship

What projects might I support Although subject to change examples of projects you will be contributing to include:

• Develop cloud migration security controls ensuring the deployment of new applications to the cloud follows Wellmarks security standards.
• Script automated controls to monitor cloud security 
• Build reporting tools obtaining coding data and analyzing to understand and craft recommendations
• Support the creation and document flow for technology identity access management team 
• Gather requirements by asking thoughtful questions clarifying needs and maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Analyze current usage reports and develop data management scripts and structures that bring information together to support reporting and decision-making.

This internship will start in May of 2027 working a hybrid schedule from our headquarters in Des Moines.

Qualifications :

• Current junior senior or Masters pursing a Bachelors degree in Information Security Computer Science Data Analytics MIS or related field
• Knowledge of software development technologies (NodeJS MongoDB SQL).
• General understanding of the domains of programming/scripting computer science and management information systems.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills. Accuracy and high attention to detail and self-starter.
• Ability to troubleshoot and develop creative technical solutions.
• Demonstrated computer skills with Microsoft Office products.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.

Preferred:

• Prior work experience in an office environment or internship
• Knowledge of Microsoft Entra/Azure
