Job Summary
8 years experience in engineering complete seat systems thru all development phases Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an ABET (EAC) accredited university Strong background in product design engineering analysis and development Experience with Catia software system and pulling in and cutting sections in data. Understanding of complete seat system requirements Experience in DV/PV testing phase for complete seat systems Fast resolution of open issues for complete seat systems Plus to have knowledge of the VW systems Strong understanding of the quality process from DFMEA PFMEA and Control plans Proficient ability to read speak and understand English Take direction from Scout Engineering to modify components for engineering/design/safety requirements Systems to be supported Complete Seat Systems Outline of Tasks. Work with Supplier(s) to ensure proper upload of data into the VW system . Part updates and changes to existing parts / assemblies needed to support manufacturing feasibility part performance improvements and/or changes to interfacing components /systems. Obtain B-Release for complete seat system parts Work with supplier to ensure tooling timing supports downstream deliverables Support complete seat systems commodity DV/PV testing and lead issue resolution Support supplier builds Support onsite Scout builds Issue resolution for all open complete seat issues thru build phase(s)
