Role Overview

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to design build and maintain reliable scalable test automation for a ServiceNow Platform. The selected candidate will leverage Playwrights capabilities to build a comprehensive test suite. This role requires strong communication skills and a collaborative team-first mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Design implement and test automation using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript).
• Build reusable testing libraries and utilities for authentication (OAuth2/JWT) pagination idempotency rate limiting and error handling.
• Define test strategy and coverage across unit integration contract and end-to-end service tests prioritizing critical paths.
• Create robust negative edge and resilience tests using mocking where needed.
• Manage test data and environments including seeding fixtures and synthetic data to keep tests deterministic and fast.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions Azure DevOps) for parallel runs and environment provisioning.
• Participate in design and code reviews advocate for testability and document frameworks patterns and runbooks.
• Communicate with cross-functional teams and be a dependable team player.

Required Qualifications

• 3-6 years in SDET/QA Automation roles focused on the Playwright tool.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright using TypeScript/JavaScript or similar tools/frameworks.
• CI/CD experience including configuring pipelines test reporting and gating on failures/coverage.
• Familiarity with mocking and test data management.
• Solid debugging skills across logs traces and network traffic; comfort with curl and CLI tooling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
