PRN SubstituteCNA Classroom Assistant
We are seeking compassionate and dependableCertified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)to provide substitute classroom support for students with medical and personal-care needs.
This is a classroom assistant position with some nursing-related responsibilities. TheCNA will work alongside school staff to help students participate safely and comfortably throughout the school day.
Responsibilities
- Assist students with feedingsby mouth.
- Provide toileting and personal-care assistance.
- Assist with safe transfers to wheelchairs and other adaptive equipment.
- Support students with daily activities in the classroom.
- Follow each students established care plan and safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively with teachers nurses and other school staff.
- Maintain students dignity safety and privacy.
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in good standing.
- Current CPR certification.
- Pediatric experience preferred.
- Experience assisting individuals with disabilities or complex medical needs is preferred.
- Comfortable providing toileting feeding mobility and transfer assistance.
- Compassionate dependable patient and able to work effectively in a classroom environment.
- Must successfully complete all required background checks and health screenings.
Position Details
- $21.00 to $23.00 an hr. DOE
- PRN/substitute classroom coverage
- School-day hours
- Classroom-based setting
