Job Summary

The position is hybrid will require 3 days onsite. This position supports the advancement of DOEs mission to strengthen U.S. small business innovation accelerate commercialization of promising technologies and enhance the impact of federally funded R&D. The analyst works closely with program managers national laboratories small business awardees and leadership to ensure high-quality execution of program Responsibilities:Support the planning coordination and daily operations of DOE SBIR/STTR program in the development of solicitation topics program documentation guidelines and policy data gathering performance tracking portfolio analysis and program evaluation to support reporting and written materials including reports program summaries dashboards presentations and briefing documents for senior outreach and engagement activities including applicant assistance programs webinars workshops and stakeholder with DOE program offices national laboratories and awardees to collect information track milestones and facilitate technology transition accurate program files databases and workflow tools to support efficient program in reviewing proposals and supporting evaluation processes for compliance completeness and programmatic and interpret SBIR/STTR policy changes to support program compliance and adherence to federal to process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing program efficiency data quality and stakeholder Qualifications:Bachelors degree in science engineering business public policy or a relevant of 3 years of experience supporting federal R&D programs grants/contract administration innovation programs or technology analytical abilities with experience organizing and interpreting technical or programmatic written and verbal communication skills including experience preparing structured reports or ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams in a hybrid with federal program operations R&D processes or grants/financial assistance with data management systems CRM platforms spreadsheets or analytics tools.U.S. citizenship and ability to meet federal suitability requirements if Requirement:Ability to obtain a Public TrustPreferred Qualifications:Experience with SBIR/STTR programs especially within DOE or other science agenciesKnowledge of technology commercialization processes market assessment or innovation ecosystem engaging with small businesses researchers national laboratories or federal program in facilitating workshops outreach events or applicant support or experience related to energy engineering or scientific R& Competencies:Program Management SupportAnalytical and Critical ThinkingTechnical Comprehension (energy science engineering)Stakeholder Engagement and Customer ServiceWritten and Oral CommunicationProcess and Workflow ImprovementData Management and ReportingPolicy Awareness and Compliance SupportKnowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)Knowledge:Understanding of SBIR/STTR program structures federal R&D funding processes and DOE mission of innovation technology transition and commercialization :Data analysis metrics development and program performance clear concise documentation summaries and leadership databases spreadsheets and CRM or portfolio management outreach communication and stakeholder engagement : Ability to manage multiple tasks deadlines and evolving program priorities. Ability to interact effectively with technical and nontechnical audiences. Ability to evaluate information identify program needs and propose solutions. Ability to contribute to a collaborative mission-driven team EnvironmentThis is a hybrid position requiring periodic onsite participation at DOE headquarters or designated facilities.
