General Function:
The Zone Manager is responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in the assigned territory. Directs a sales team and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values (total beverage distributor model) and contributes daily to the development of the team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage sales activities in the of the sales team in the assigned territory.
- Target effective and accurate monthly PFP goals for sales representative to ensure attainment of sales and profitability goals.
- Responsible for the performance and development of sales team.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key account management and ownership.
- Develop and maintain relationships with supplier representatives.
- Attend key special events (sales promotion events) and supplier events (conventions meetings functions).
- Responsible for completing weekly ride-alongs
- Initiates and coordinates action plans and sales programs with key accounts in territory.
- Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.
- Conducts weekly one-on-one meetings with employees to build more effective communications to understand customer needs and to provide insight for the improvement of sales and activity performance. Utilize M360 Idig and the Greater Dashboard to identify trends and opportunities.
- Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding performance.
- Maintains accurate records of all sales time off and performance issues.
- Work with managers across the organization to conduct routing reviews as needed and analyze cost efficiency time to sell and recommend and changes to Sales Management.
- Communicate sales issues/concerns with appropriate sales department managers and zone managers.
- Adheres to all company policies procedures and business ethics and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
- Ensures that all Sales team members adhear to the steps in the structured sales calls
- Sets example for Sales team in areas of personal character commitment organizational and selling skills and work habits.
- Conducts regular coaching and counseling with Sales team to build motivation and selling skills following the Montreux Selling Process.
- Identify market retailer and consumer trends within assigned sales territory and develop action plans to support.
- Maintain structured call frequency at local account level to ensure and evaluate sales. and marketing program execution at store level and comply with Kentucky Eagle standards.
- Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees at all levels.
Minimum Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required:
- Must be able to meet physical requirements of position including lifting moving products
- Min. 5 years of related experience in sales.
- 1 years of supervisory experience preferred.
- College degree preferred.
- Ability to demonstrate effective computer skills (Excel Work Outlook Power Point etc).
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
- Experience coaching mentoring and supervising direct reports
- Ability to organize and communicate work efficiently to set priorities to give and follow orders and to motivate others.
- Proven leadership and ability to drive sales teams.
- Knowledge of Kentucky ABC and TTB laws preferred.
- Must have a valid Drivers License in good standing with a driving record acceptable to Kentucky Eagles insurance carrier.
