Job Summary
The Sales Development Representative supports sales effectiveness and revenue growth by providing analytical operational and administrative support to Sales Leadership and Account Management teams within the Compressors & Air Tools division. This role is responsible for sales calls timely customer follow-up developing reports presentations forecasts and customer insights that inform business decisions improve planning and strengthen execution across sales programs. The ideal candidate is highly organized detail-oriented customer-focused solution-minded analytical and comfortable translating data into actionable recommendations for cross-functional stakeholders.
Principal Responsibilities
- Maintain profile and contracts for sales agencies.
- Processing and monitoring sales requests for product samples and images working closely with Product Managers.
- Assisting Customer Service in resolving order fulfillment issues by consulting with the Sourcing Group and customers.
- Maintain an active repository for all customer promotional allowances rebates and pricing programs.
- Assist Sales at trade shows including booth setup teardown and representing MAT as a Sales Representative when necessary.
- Build and maintain customer profiles for major customers.
- Analyze customer point of sale (POS) data inventory levels price points store counts and rate of sale.
- Articulate and present POS observations to multiple levels within the organization
- Analyzes multiple data points for sales trends changes and opportunities.
- Occasional travel to MAT sites and customer locations up to 25% annually.
- Performing other tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications :
Competencies
- High proficiency in the use of Excel SAP and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present data in a clear and organized manner.
- Meticulous attention to detail demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness.
- The ability to gather facts quickly and make informed decisions.
- Strong organizational skills including the capacity to plan and manage multiple projects effectively.
- A proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment take initiative and operate independently when necessary.
- A commitment to learning and adaptability with a willingness to embrace change.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelors degree
- 6 years of work experience with consumer product companies in sales or sales enablement type roles
