Duties & Responsibilities

• Greet and engage every customer with a friendly demeanor offering personalized assistance to help them find the right products for their needs ensuring that each customer receives exceptional service.
• Drive sales by proactively suggesting complementary products and sharing your expertise to inspire customers and increase sales.
• Actively promote store-wide promotions the GWP Rewards loyalty program and seasonal deals to boost customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Stay up-to-date with product features and applications to guide customers through their purchasing decisions confidently.
• Collaborate with your team to maintain an organized visually appealing store layout and manage stock efficiently.
• Act as a liaison between customers and management to ensure satisfaction and resolve any concerns.
• Assist with receiving stocking and replenishing merchandise ensuring accurate pricing and efficient shelf organization.
• Ensure smooth transactions at the checkout process payments and assist in the preparation of customer orders for delivery or pick-up.
• Be willing and available to work overtime when needed to meet business demands.

Qualification & Skills

• Minimum 5 CSEC passes with an emphasis on subjects relevant to retail or customer service (e.g. English Mathematics).
• At least one year experience in sales or customer service preferably in a retail or hardware setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a high level of customer service and the ability to build rapport quickly.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Previous experience in a hardware home improvement or construction-related environment is a significant asset.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and grow with the company.
