JOB TITLE: Robot Machine Operator

Summary:

• Interpret and work from engineering requirements work orders blueprints charts sketches work instructions and technical documentation to manufacture high-quality parts and assemblies.

• Fabricate assemblies using Computer Numerical Control (CNC) equipment while ensuring product and process quality throughout manufacturing operations.

• Determine and adjust machine feeds speeds and work alignment using shop mathematics charts graphs and precision measuring tools.

• Perform machine proofing for new and revised part programs.

• Adjust tool setups and make minor machine adjustments to ensure safe and efficient machine operation.

• Adapt tooling and holding fixtures to properly orient machine tool cutters and machining fixtures.

• Perform drilling countersinking sealing and fastener installation using manual and CNC equipment.

• Verify dimensions and tolerances using precision measurement tools including:

  • Height gages

  • Gauge blocks

  • Micrometers

  • Calipers

  • Protractors

  • Dial indicators

• Utilize tooling to assemble components into subassemblies and final assemblies.

• Verify completed work meets engineering specifications process requirements and work instructions.

• Identify and report discrepancies according to established procedures.

• Ensure equipment and tooling certifications are maintained per process requirements.

• Assist in training team members on assembly and installation techniques.

Requirements:

• 5 years of relevant manufacturing or machining experience.

• Experience in a manufacturing/production environment.

• Background in aerospace or aviation manufacturing.

• Experience with manual and CNC machining.

• Knowledge of basic machining principles including:

  • CNC and conventional machining

  • G-codes and M-codes

• Ability to use a dial indicator to indicate a hole or tooling ball.

• Strong understanding of shop math and basic mathematical calculations.

• Experience working with precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings work instructions and technical documentation.

• Must be willing and able to work any shift as needed.

• Must successfully pass a skills demonstration assessment.

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
