ID: Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:30 - 07:00) Description: Post Cardiac Cath Unit (PCCU) RN -Special Procedures/Unit Details: Patient population is Pre and Post Cath patients and some overflow from ED. We pull arterial/venous sheaths post cath as well as manage TR bands New Pacemakers/Defibrillators and Watchman post procedure. We discharge patients 24-48hr post procedure unless deemed CABG consult then either set them up for open heart surgery or transfer them to the appropriate unit pending emergent verse outpatient CABG patients. Some patients are in OBS from ED and will get procedure and discharge within 36hr Home from our unit. We do not take chest tubes or critical drips. -Special Equipment: Only drips we take are Nitroglycerin Angiomax Heparin Electrolytes fluids and antibiotics -Patient Diagnoses: Nstemi Stemi CHF Atrial Fibrillation Atrial Flutter Bradycardia Tachycardia Heart Blocks SVT V-Tach Sinus Arrythmia AV Paced/Defibrillator -Shift: 3x12hr NIGHTS 1930-0700; every other weekend required-Experience Required: 2 Years RN experience - 1 Year In-Specialty experience required (IF RN IS HITTING 2 YEARS BY OFFICIAL START DATE THEN THEY CAN SUB). -Work Setting Skills Required: cardiac telemetry; MS/Tele; Telemetry -Ratios: 1:5 days; nights; and weekends-Adult patient population -First timers OK DEPENDING on if RN has experience with cardiac patients. -Certs Required: BLS-Certs Preferred: ACLS; CPI Skill Requirements: Telemetry; Central Line Draws Ports Blood Administration PCA Pumps Bone Marrow Aspiration Assist Pleurx Chest Tubes. Facility will consider between 75 to 100 miles on a case-by-case basis. Rate will be the same.
