RN Operating Room Days PRN

Womans surgical team puts you alongside some of the brightest minds in medicine where youll work with leading-edge technology test your skills and knowledge and change the world of health care. Womans offers the unique opportunity of staffing two RNs per OR suite/case. This practice contributes to the delivery of the exceptional care our patients expect and are accustomed to receiving; and is a practice that sets Womans apart from our competitors.

Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited school of registered nursing is required
• Current licensure by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing is required
• One year minimum experience as an RN is required and a minimum of two years of experience in an Operating Room as an RN is highly preferred
• Certification in the area preferred

Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

• Performs assessment of the individual patient and procedure.
• Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment planning intervention and evaluation.
• Provide education and emotional support appropriate to age culture condition and circumstance.
• Coordinates all aspects of nursing care with all disciplines of the surgical team to achieve defined patient outcomes.
• Maintains a safe environment by implementing technical and aseptic practice.
• Directs and assists in care and handling of state of the art supplies equipment and instruments.
• Document care based on standards of care and practice patient acuity and/or clinical priority.
• Provide patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice standards ANA Standards & the LA Nurse Practice Act.
• Perform other duties assigned by Department management according to policies and procedures and the mission of Womans Hospital.

Hours

PRN; required to work a minimum of one shift per week.

Monday - Friday; 12 hour shift (6:30a-7p) or 8 hour shift (6:30a-3p)

No call required.

Pay

$30.49 - $48.78 base pay plus PRN and applicable shift differentials
