First-time traveler- Upon Review
Patient Types:
Neonates to geriatrics various types of illnesses majority of patients are adults
Patient Ratios:
1-5 up to 6 rarely (acuity based)
Required Certifications:
BLS ACLS NIHSS TNCC PALS De-escalation training (MOAB or CPI)
Skills required
General ED skillset chest tubes drips IV starts phlebotomy EKGs cardiac rhythm interpretation
Support on the Unit:
CNA (Ratio 1:12)
Charge nurse: does this person have patient load No titled Charge RN in the ED
Phlebotomy team ED RNs will perform phlebotomy at the bedside
Resource Nurse Lead RN functions as a resource
RT in house 24/7 Yes
Hospitalist in house 24/7 Yes
Bedside and Nursing station telemetry no tele tech
