Job Summary

Overview

This nursing position will join a collaborative team of outpatient behavioral health professionals committed to Carles mission and values. Will work in a department with 10 physicians and APPs plus 10 psychologists and counselors). Outpatient Behavioral Health population ages 5 and up. Provides phone triage education and support; multi-tasking with returning phone calls/portal messages/helping during clinic/returning messages to PSR staff trying to schedule patients.

Responsibilities

Provides and facilitates competent health care of patients and families in area of practice. Ensures adherence to established standards of care and scope of practice.
Ensures documentation of care is complete and accurate.
Provides health and wellness education to individuals and groups.
Acts as preceptor and supports the development of other staff and healthcare students.
Provides leadership for initiatives designed to improve the quality of care or clinical outcomes.
Assists Nursing Supervisor/coordinator in the development of departmental standing orders.
Assist with coordination of care for patients age 0-150. Perform telephone triage of both acute and chronic needs for patients age 0-150. Assist with in office wound care and other procedures such as lesion removal. Provide in office education for patients with newly diagnosed diabetes between ages 0-150. Administration of immunizations and medications to patients age 0-150.

Qualifications

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA); Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Education: H.S. Diploma/GED Work Experience:

Salary Range

The compensation range for this position is $33.11per hour - $53.88per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidates experience qualifications location training licenses shifts worked and compensation model.
