Retail Merchandise Coordinator

Job Summary
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Retail Merchandise Coordinator reports to the Gift Shop Manager/Buyer and will participate in all aspects of the gift shop operations including store operations human resource management (hiring/training/scheduling) customer service and sales visual merchandising and product placement inventory management (purchasing ordering transferring) purchase order management and expediting and expense management.
- The RMC will have administrative responsibilities as well as store responsibilities as needed.
- Participate in product placement and store sale events and maintains communication vehicles such as displays signs brochures etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested..
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma required. Associate Degree preferred.
- At least 5 years of prior retail store experience including but not limited to selling merchandising receiving store opening/closing customer service buying payroll interviewing training.
- At least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (Medium Max 25lbs): up to 25 lbs 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 11-25 lbs 34-66% of the workday (frequently); 01-10 lbs 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 25 lbs max; Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs; Occasional to frequent standing & walking Occasional sitting Close eye work (computers typing reading writing) Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
