Job Description Summary
The research coordinator under supervision of the principal investigator (PI) will provide research support for studies related to deafness and language development. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: providing administrative support for recruiting participants; assisting with Internal Review Board ( IRB ) protocol development and compliance; collecting and managing data; collaborating with research assistants; assisting in the preparation of presentations grants and manuscripts. The research coordinator will be trained in key data collection methodologies (eye tracking behavioral and survey data) and will help to develop and implement research study protocols and standard operating procedures for the lab.
Responsibilities
Provide administrative support for research projects (e.g. participant recruitment screening scheduling payment and database management) Support development submission and compliance monitoring of IRB protocols for research studies. Assist with data collection processing verification and management for eye tracking behavioral and survey data. Mentor research assistants and coordinating lab meetings Aid in preparation of presentations grants and manuscripts Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Strong initiative organizational skills and problem-solving for project management Strong communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Willing to occasionally work on an alternative schedule to accommodate research participant or trainee scheduling needs.
