Support the Districts Regulatory Support Bureau (RSB) managing multiple tasks and priorities in fast-paced team-oriented environment. As part of the RSB team the Regulatory Support Student intern provides mission-critical paraprofessional support for the business processes of the Regulation Division in permitting post-permitting and compliance enforcement within statutorily mandated and District-established timeframes. Specific tasks include but are not limited to: processing of permit-related information processing documents using a variety of computer applications data management document imaging and ensuring documents are electronic records compliant.
This internship opportunity is not eligible for remote work all work will be conducted in office at the Districts Bartow FL office.

Compensation: $14.00 per hour
Essential Functions
Provides mission-critical paraprofessional support for the business processes of the Regulation Division in permitting
Post-permitting and compliance enforcement within statutorily mandated and District-established timeframes
Processing of permit-related information
Processing documents using a variety of computer applications
Data management
Document imaging and ensuring documents are electronic records compliant
Working Conditions
Employee works in a standard office environment. Performs continuous repetitive tasks (to include keyboarding) with one or both hands. Occasionally lifts and carries objects up to 10 pounds. Occasionally requires bending and reaching above shoulder level. May spend time out in the field in remote areas. Possible travel to other offices. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Required Credentials for Regulatory Support Student Intern
Be at least part-time current enrollment an accredited college university or other recognized educational or vocational program
Maintain a minimum GPAof 2.5 for undergraduate students or minimum GPA of 3.0 for graduate students
Provide a copy ofOfficial school transcript within 30 days of employment
Valid drivers license
Preferred Credentials for Support Student Student Intern
Organized strong written and verbal communication skills takes initiative and basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Preferred Degrees: Business
Preferred Degree Level: Undergraduate

The District will determine eligibility for employment solely from the information provided on a District employment application. All applicants are required to complete in full the District employment application. Incomplete applications will not be considered. This position is typically scheduled to work no more than 25 hours per week out of the Bartowoffice. Student Internship positions are not eligible for insured medical benefits.
