This is not a forgiving learning environment. You will rotate independently through the ER ICU NICU and Labor & Delivery from day one managing high-acuity respiratory cases without a grace period. If you are not already confident working alone in both adult critical care and neonatal resuscitation this role will expose you immediately.
You must hold an active unencumbered RRT license in Arkansas before you start. We cannot wait for interstate endorsements temporary permits or pending applications. If your license has any restrictions disciplinary flags or lapsed status you will not clear our compliance screening.
You must arrive with current BLS ACLS PALS and NRP certificationsor be able to renew them the moment you are hired. If any of these have lapsed beyond immediate renewal eligibility you are not ready for this position.
You will be expected to function autonomously in the NICU and Labor & Delivery. This means performing neonatal resuscitations managing ventilated preemies and responding to emergent deliveries without real-time supervision. If your neonatal experience is limited to occasional code assists or shadowing this setting will feel dangerously uncomfortable.
You will also cover adult ICU and ER independently. You must be fluent in advanced ventilator management ABG interpretation and rapid-response protocols across all age groups. If you rely heavily on another therapist to validate your clinical decisions this structure will not support you.
You cannot require visa sponsorship now or at any point in the future. This is a hard stop.
This is a rotating shift environment in a rural acute-care hospital. You will encounter the full spectrum of respiratory emergencies with limited backup. If you prefer predictable schedules urban resources or clearly delineated scope this role will feel isolating and relentless.
