Job Summary
The RN Manager ICU / Critical Care assumes 24/7 accountability for nursing practice quality of care staff performance and operational outcomes for the ICU. The Registered Nurse Manager provides leadership and guidance to nursing staff while ensuring exceptional patient care across the West Bank serving New Orleans LA and surrounding communities.
Key Responsibilities: As an RN Manager / Registered Nurse Manager ICU you will:
- Lead and support ICU nursing staff in a fastpaced Critical Care environment.
- Ensure quality of care patient safety and satisfaction within the ICU.
- Manage staffing scheduling budgets and productivity metrics.
- Oversee clinical practice standards and regulatory compliance.
- Foster professional development staff engagement and retention.
- Partner with physicians and interdisciplinary teams across New Orleans LA.
- Maintain clinical proficiency while overseeing ICU / Critical Care operations on the West Bank.
- Ensure compliance with federal state and local healthcare regulations.
Required Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana.
- Minimum 7 years of nursing experience including 2 years in a supervisory or RN Manager role.
- Strong background in ICU / Critical Care nursing.
- Associates Degree in Nursing (Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred).
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association).
- Demonstrated leadership communication and organizational skills.
