Location: Rockford IL
Pay Rate: $55.00 $60.00/hr
Schedule: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM
Contract: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Experience: Minimum 2 years
About the Role
We are hiring experienced Float Pool RNs for a 13-week contract in Rockford IL. This role is ideal for an RN with ICU cardiac telemetry step-down and med-surg experience who is comfortable floating across multiple hospital units as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care across ICU Step-Down ICU Cardiac Telemetry Stroke Neuro Medical Surgical and related units
- Float to Medical Surgical units when needed
- Administer medications and treatments according to nursing standards and facility policy
- Develop and follow individualized patient care plans
- Monitor patient safety clinical status and changes in condition
- Use critical thinking and escalate concerns through the appropriate chain of command
- Educate patients and families as needed
- Document care accurately in EPIC
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient outcomes
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- ICU experience required
- Extensive cardiac experience required
- Telemetry Step-Down Med-Surg Stroke Neuro or CPCU experience preferred
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program required
- BLS/BCLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- EPIC experience preferred
- Must be willing to float to Medical Surgical units as needed
- Holiday coverage required
