We are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Registered Dietitian (RD) to join a healthcare team in Jackson MI. The ideal candidate will have experience providing nutrition assessments developing individualized nutrition care plans and supporting patients in acute care nursing home inpatient rehabilitation or LTACH settings. 5 x 8-hour shifts
Combination of shift lengths available
Start times between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM
Flexibility with both start and end times
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and reassessments.
Perform Nutrition Focused Physical Exams (NFPE) to identify malnutrition and nutrition-related concerns.
Develop implement and monitor individualized nutrition care plans.
Provide medical nutrition therapy and nutrition counseling to patients and families.
Assess manage and monitor enteral and parenteral nutrition support.
Collaborate with physicians nurses pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
Document nutrition assessments interventions and outcomes accurately in the medical record.
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and patient care planning.
Ensure compliance with regulatory accreditation and facility standards.
Required Qualifications
Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential in good standing.
Minimum of 1 year of recent full-time experience (within the past 5 years) as a Registered Dietitian in:
Acute Care Hospital
Skilled Nursing Facility/Nursing Home
Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility
LTACH (Long-Term Acute Care Hospital)
Training and experience in completing Nutrition Focused Physical Exams (NFPE).
Experience managing enteral and parenteral nutrition.
Alternative Experience Consideration
Candidates with at least 1 year of full-time RD experience within the past 8 years may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Preferred Qualifications
ICU nutrition support experience.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Experience working with complex medical and nutritional conditions.
